Job summary

Harrier House Care Home, part of Care Concern Group, is seeking a dedicated Care Assistant to support residents with personal care, mobility and daily activities. You will follow care plans, monitor wellbeing and document changes to ensure safe, compassionate care.

You will work as part of a friendly team, assist with meals and outings, and ensure a clean, safe environment while adhering to safety and safeguarding policies. Alternate weekend work is required.

Qualifications

• Caring, compassionate and respectful approach.
• Good communication, literacy and numeracy skills.
• Ability to work calmly in a busy environment and as part of a team.
• Reliable, positive and professional attitude with commitment to person-centred care.
• Understanding of dignity, independence and confidentiality.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, infection prevention and safe working practices.
• Full training provided; NVQ2/Care Certificate desirable or be working toward it.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, person-centred care for residents.
• Assist with personal care, mobility, nutrition and daily living.
• Follow individual care plans and monitor wellbeing; report changes.
• Maintain accurate care records for safe, consistent care.
• Support activities, meals and accompany residents to appointments.
• Maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment; uphold safety procedures.
