apetito is the UK’s leading supplier of food and catering solutions for care homes, hospitals and local authorities. The C+E Driver role is based at Portbury, near Bristol, with a 40-hour week (14:00-22:00 Mon-Fri) and some night flexibility.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years full time C+E driving experience.
• Customer service experience required.
• Full Class C+E Licence.
• Excellent understanding of Drivers hours regulations and tachographs.
• Good knowledge of UK geography.
• Driver CPC is required.

Responsibilities

• Full time yard shunting; possible shunt to Trowbridge facility and trunk to outbase locations.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
• Comply with drivers’ hours, tachographs and road traffic regulations.
• Drive in an economical, damage-free style; act as company ambassador.
• Carry out minor vehicle servicing: cleaning and refuelling of refrigerated units.
• Maintain a clean vehicle interior and exterior.
• Delivery and collection of vehicles to rental suppliers and inspections.
• Participate in daily debriefs with supervisor to identify improvements.
• Supervise and assist with loading at Cross Dock sites.
