Job summary

apetito Limited is seeking a professional driver for a 45-hour week on night shifts (Sunday to Thursday) delivering frozen meals to Care Homes, Local Authorities, Hospitals, and Wiltshire Farm Foods franchisees. The role requires 2–3 years C+E driving, a full C+E license, and strong knowledge of driver hours regulations.

Portbury-based with multiple out bases across the UK. You will be the face of apetito, providing excellent customer service and representing the brand across depots and customer

Qualifications

• Essential: 2–3 years full-time C+E driving experience.
• Essential: Customer service experience.
• Essential: Full Class C+E Licence.
• Essential: Excellent understanding of Drivers hours regulations, working time directive and tachographs.
• Essential: Good operational knowledge of modern commercial vehicles.
• Essential: Good geographical knowledge of UK.
• Essential: Driver CPC.

Responsibilities

• Undertake pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure road worthiness.
• Full compliance with drivers’ hours, tachographs and road traffic regulations.
• Driving style: damage-free and economical.
• Be an ambassador of the company.
• Undertake minor vehicle servicing like cleaning and refuelling.
• Maintain a clean vehicle inside and out.
• Delivery and collection of vehicles to rental suppliers and inspections.
• Inspect hire vehicles pre- and post-rental.
• Participate in daily debriefs to identify safety and service improvements.
• Supervise and assist with loading at Cross dock sites.
