Job summary

Autocraft is seeking motivated individuals to join the EV battery pack repair team at our Grantham workshop. You will repair HV battery packs, prepare repair kits and handle deliveries while following strict safety protocols.

Full training will be provided, including HV Level 3 certification. Shifts include late and day options, with 37.5 hours per week and a 1:30pm Friday finish. Applicants closing date: 25 October 2026.

Qualifications

• Be able to train in IMI Level 3 Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Maintenance or equivalent HV safety qualification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and precision in handling procedures.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to follow operating procedures.
• Team-oriented, proactive and committed to quality and safety.
• Reliable, organised and eager to develop skills in the EV industry.
• Flexibility to work indoors and outdoors, day and late shifts as required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose faults and repair HV battery packs following job cards and complete documentation.
• Prepare battery repair kits by balancing modules to support the Revive workshop.
• Unload deliveries, look after core HV packs, pick orders and dispatch loads.
• Adhere to high-voltage safety protocols, isolation procedures and risk assessments.
• Use lifting, diagnostic and mechanical equipment safely and accurately.
• Keep the workspace clean and organised, maintaining 5S standards.

About us:

Part of the Autocraft Solutions Group, Autocraft Drivetrain Solutions is Europe’s largest independent engine remanufacturer and assembler, supplying OE manufacturers such as Ford, Jaguar Land Rover, Volvo, Aston Martin, PSA, JCB and many more.

We are also a technology leader in Electric Vehicle (EV) battery assembly and remanufacturing solutions, component machining and engineering services. Sustainability is at the core of everything we do!

The role:

We are looking for enthusiastic driven individuals who will be working in our expanding and world leading EV department where we repair and re manufacture Electric Vehicle Battery Packs.

The role will consist of repairing batteries in our workshop, working on the logistics side, moving batteries and preparing parts for the repair.

Full training will be provided for the role – including a funded external EV HV level 3 certificate.

You may be required to work a fortnightly rotation of shifts:

Late Shift: Monday to Wednesday 16:15 - 02:15, and Thursday 16:15 – 01:45

Day Shift: Monday to Thursday 08:00 – 16:30, and Friday 08:00 – 13:30

Both shifts are 37.5 working hours per week.

Person Specification

• The capability to be trained in IMI Level 3 in Electric/Hybrid Vehicle System Maintenance (or equivalent HV safety qualification).
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

• Team-oriented, proactive, and committed to quality and safety.
