Job summary

Our client, an established independent automotive garage in Worksop, Nottinghamshire, is seeking an experienced EV-qualified Vehicle Technician to join the workshop team. You will service, diagnose and repair ICE, hybrid and fully electric vehicles across a broad range of makes and models.

You will work safely and professionally, using diagnostic equipment and high-quality workmanship, while supporting the expansion of EV capabilities in a busy workshop.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in vehicle servicing, diagnostics and repairs.
• Proven ability to work across ICE, hybrid and fully electric vehicles.
• Strong mechanical, electrical and diagnostic fault-finding skills.
• Experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models.
• A solid understanding of modern automotive systems and diagnostic procedures.
• Ability to diagnose and resolve faults independently and accurately.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, maintenance, diagnostics and mechanical repairs across petrol, diesel, hybrid and fully electric vehicles.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical and electronic faults using appropriate diagnostic equipment.
• Undertake repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, braking systems, steering, suspension and other vehicle components.
• Diagnose faults relating to hybrid and electric vehicle systems, including high-voltage components.
• Carry out electrical fault-finding and diagnostic testing across multiple vehicle makes and models.
• Ensure all work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high professional standard.
• Follow manufacturer guidelines and health and safety procedures, particularly when working on high-voltage systems.
• Work collaboratively with other technicians and workshop management to maintain productivity and customer satisfaction.
• Support our client’s ongoing development and expansion of its EV and hybrid servicing capabilities.
