Job summary

Hartwell plc, a leading UK retail motor group, seeks a skilled Service Technician for our Dunstable dealership. You will undertake maintenance, service and repair of motor vehicles to high standards within scheduled times.

The ideal candidate has NVQ level 3, MOT Tester, at least 2 years in a franchise dealership, and excellent customer service. Ford and/or EV training is advantageous. We offer a workplace pension, staff discounts and 22 days annual holiday.

Qualifications

• NVQ level 3 or equivalent is required.
• MOT Tester qualification is required.
• At least 2 years' experience after qualifying period in a Franchise Dealership (or similar).
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Ford and/or EV training will be highly beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Maintenance, service and repair of motor vehicles to high standards within scheduled times.
• Repair, test vehicles and diagnose faults as required by Service Manager and supervisors.
• Replace components, parts, lubricants and consumables and record usage.
• Keep work areas clean, tidy and safe from hazards to health and safety.
• Carry out work completely within manufacturers’ servicing times.
• Advise and report on vehicle faults and servicing needs.
