Job summary

Pod is seeking a Quality Assurance Field Assessor based in or near Newcastle. The role is predominantly field-based with time in home working, auditing partners and installers on site to ensure quality and safety standards are met.

You will oversee testing and commissioning of charging units, perform random quality audits, and coach installers on best practices while staying current with industry standards. A UK driving licence is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience coaching others in field settings.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety practices.
• Experience with electrical installations and EV charging projects is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing testing, commissioning, and handover of charging units.
• Performing random quality audits to ensure consistency across installers and contractors.
• Monitoring use of correct tools, PPE, and safety devices.
• Ensure installers are competent with single-phase installations.
• Ensure work is tidy, professional, and well documented for customers.
• Handle escalations when installation quality is questioned.
• Promote updates in electrical regulations and industry standards.
• Support with technical questions from the field team.
• Identify and drive on-site process and procedures improvements.
• Collaborate with H&S to improve site safety and standards.
• Manage and check calibration of safety test equipment.
• Aid with certificate completion deadlines.
