Job summary

S Knights Recruitment is supporting an established awarding and apprenticeship assessment organisation to hire an External Quality Assurer (EQA). This remote, UK-wide role includes occasional travel to centres and the Chorley office, focusing on risk-based quality assurance and continuous improvement.

The ideal candidate will hold a recognised External Quality Assurance qualification or be actively working towards one, with strong vocational education QA experience.

Qualifications

• Qualified EQA or working towards one.
• Experience in vocational education, qualifications, assessment or quality assurance.
• Engineering/Manufacturing experience desirable.
• Construction or related vocational background considered.
• Knowledge of Ofqual Conditions of Recognition.

Responsibilities

• Manage a remote caseload of centres with planned EQA sampling and monitoring.
• Conduct remote and occasional in-person QA visits.
• Apply risk-based professional judgement for centre monitoring.
• Review assessment and QA activity for compliance.
• Produce evidence-based QA reports with findings and recommendations.
• Agree proportionate action plans and monitor progress to completion.
• Lead standardisation and moderation activities.
• Contribute to quality improvement and wider projects.
• Maintain current occupational knowledge relevant to qualifications.
