Job summary
MARMION is seeking an Electrical Field Service Engineer to support EV charging infrastructure across the UK. You will diagnose faults, commission gear, perform firmware updates and carry out proactive maintenance to maximise uptime while providing clear customer updates.
You will work in a home-based role with regular travel across Greater London and the M25 corridor, including occasional overnight stays. A strong electrical background and driving license are essential, with EV/renewable energy
Qualifications
- NVQ Level 3 Electrical qualification, AM2 and BS7671 18th Edition.
- City & Guilds 2391-52 Inspection & Testing and a JIB Gold Card.
- At least 3 years' experience in field-based electrical installation/maintenance.
- Strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability with ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with customers.
- Familiarity with test equipment (multimeters and voltage testers).
- Valid UK driving licence and willingness for travel and overnight stays.
- Experience in EV charging/renewable energy advantageous but not essential.
- Permanent Right to Work in the UK; visa sponsorship not offered.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and resolve faults on EV charging equipment.
- Commission, configure and perform firmware updates.
- Maintain and repair to maximise uptime.
- Provide on-site technical support and clear updates to customers.
- Ensure reporting and compliance with safety standards.
