Proper Solar in Chesterfield is expanding its EV installation team. The role covers domestic EV charger installs across Derbyshire and nearby counties, with a growing portfolio of commercial sites.

You will work on high-quality installations with careful cable routing and clear customer communication. We value qualified electricians with 18th edition, Level 3 EV install competence, and a clean driving licence.

Qualifications

• Level 3 electrical qualification required.
• 18th Edition (BS 7671) compliance required.
• EV charging Level 3 qualification.
• Experience on domestic installs.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Confident working alone and dealing directly with customers.

Responsabilités

• Install domestic EV chargers to a high standard, with tidy cable runs and clean finishes.
• Commercial EV installs at workplaces, depots and destination sites.
• Servicing, maintenance and fault-finding visits on chargers already in the field.
• Solar PV and battery installs as you build experience and qualifications.
• Testing, commissioning and completing certification on every job.
• Uploading photo evidence and completion paperwork through our installer job portal.
• Explaining the finished install to customers clearly, without jargon.
• Leaving every site tidier than you found it.

The East Midlands is home turf. We're based in Chesterfield, and this role covers installs from Derbyshire across to Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire and Lincolnshire. Expect a strong mix of domestic EV work, plus a growing number of commercial sites.

What you'll need

• EV charging installation qualification (Level 3)
• Experience on domestic installs

• Solar PV and battery storage qualifications
• Commercial or three-phase EV experience
• Experience with smart charger commissioning apps and OCPP back offices
