Job summary

Amerit Fleet Solutions is hiring an EV Technician/Automotive Mechanic (Electric/Autonomous Vehicle) in San Diego, CA. You’ll service, repair and retrofit EV/AV systems, with a focus on electrical and mechanical integrity, software updates, and safety. Experience with AV hardware and retrofits is valued; valid license and strong communication are required.

Qualifications

• 4-8 years’ hands-on automotive maintenance experience.
• Strong diagnostic skills for mechanical, electrical, A/C and AV/EV systems.
• Experience with hardware retrofits and AV hardware replacement.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to use shop tools.
• Computer skills and quick learning of new software.
• Clear communication and safety-minded attitude.

Responsibilities

• Perform service, repair, and maintenance on electrical, mechanical, and integrated systems of EV/AVs.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, A/C, and AV system issues.
• Conduct hardware retrofits and AV hardware replacements.
• Perform software and firmware updates.
• Create repair orders and document work performed.
• Collaborate with engineering and service teams to troubleshoot complex issues.
• Participate in fleet-wide hardware and software retrofits.
• Follow safety protocols and maintain quality and precision.
• Pursue ongoing training to stay current with autonomous vehicle tech.
