My client, a niche shipping forwarder, is seeking a European road freight operations coordinator to join their busy team in Chelmsford.

Duties Would Include

• Handling road freight operations
• Import and exports domestic European
• Sending pre-advice
• Quoting, costing and invoicing
• Monitoring shipments from start to finish
• Liaising with suppliers, forwarders, and agents to obtain up-to-date shipment information
• Updating customers
• Ensuring correct documentation is on file
• General admin/data entry

Skills Required

• Experience handling road freight
• Knowledge of European and domestic groupage
• Ability to work well under pressure
• PC literate
• Good customer service skills
• Good geographical knowledge
• In-depth knowledge of EU Customs procedures
• Commercially focused considering end-to-end costs

Working Hours

• Monday - Friday 9.00am - 5.00pm

Hybrid: 2 days in office, 3 from home (after training)
