We are seeking enthusiastic and motivated individuals with an interest in transport planning and ideally some experience in this field. While some experience is beneficial we are looking for the right person, and we’ll provide the support and training to help you transition into this fast-moving, future-focused sector.

Main responsibilities of the job:

  • Prepare high-quality technical reports, proposals, and planning documents, including Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, and delivery and servicing plans.
  • Procuring and assisting with the collection and assessment of data, including traffic counts and surveys, census data, and GIS mapping.
  • Support transport planning workstreams across private and public sector clients.
  • Site visits
  • Manage project deliverables, budgets, and client relationships.
  • Take initiative and responsibility across a diverse portfolio of UK development planning projects.

You will learn about the planning process and the key policy documents that shape transport assessments, including Vision Led - Decide and Provide assessments and get to understand the requirements of our clients, deal with key stakeholders.

Requirements

What we’re looking for

  • Proven experience delivering transport planning support for planning applications.
  • Strong analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams and deadlines.
  • Someone with ambition, personal drive, a commitment to ongoing learning and professional development and a willingness to collaborate with other disciplines and stakeholders (e.g., architects and planners)
