Your Role

Our European Finance team has an exciting opportunity for a data-savvy Financial Reporting Analyst who will oversee regional financial reporting and business intelligence tool testing to ensure concise, timely, and accurate data outputs for our Air & Ocean teams.

This pivotal role involves collaborating with a wide network of internal stakeholders, acting as a bridge between regional and in-country business controlling teams. We are seeking someone experienced in business intelligence and financial reporting who can build strong working relationships.

What will you do?

• Retrieve and analyze data from legacy systems, building reports using BI tools and system techniques.
• Create automated pathways for regular reports to maximize system and tool capabilities.
• Build strong relationships with IT teams to understand system updates, testing, and completion timelines.
• Understand freight forwarding activities to interpret data outputs effectively.
• Serve as the key contact for regional reporting issues or errors, implementing improvements.
• Streamline reporting processes and procedures, reducing risk and redundancy.
• Create and review work instructions for reports, centralizing documentation.
• Assist in ad-hoc projects or reports as needed.

What are we looking for?

Proven experience in data reporting and analytics, with knowledge of financial or accounting principles. Ability to interpret and communicate complex financial reports to both financial and non-financial colleagues.

Skills in financial systems and business intelligence tools, report manipulation, automation, and dashboard creation are essential. A problem-solving and continuous improvement mindset is desirable. Knowledge of Power BI Data Analyst certification or equivalent is a plus.

This role is hybrid, based anywhere in the UK, with regular commuting to our Ashby de la Zouch head office twice a week.
