We are currently partnered with a £350m turnover, Private Equity backed SaaS business on an exciting high-growth buy-and-build strategy. The business is seeking a European Financial Controller fluent in German with previous SaaS experience in a PE-backed company.

Reporting directly to a dynamic, high-energy Group FC, this role offers a strong number two position in a fast-paced environment, shaping and professionalising the finance function during the transition from start-up to scale-up.

The Role:

The Financial Controller will oversee reporting, controls, and accounting processes:

• Managing financial reporting, accounting policies, and controls, ensuring PE standards compliance.
• Overseeing an outsourced finance function with plans to bring it in-house and build a top-tier finance team.
• Collaborating with senior leadership and stakeholders, providing commercial insights.
• Leading system improvements and process automation to increase efficiency and scalability.

The Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
• PE experience in a SaaS environment.
• German language proficiency.
• Strong technical finance skills, combined with a commercial mindset and stakeholder partnership ability.
• Experience with finance systems and automation is advantageous.
