We are currently partnered with a £350m turnover, private equity-backed SaaS business on an exciting high-growth buy-and-build strategy. The business seeks a European Financial Controller fluent in German with SaaS experience in a PE-backed environment.

Reporting directly to a dynamic, high-energy Group FC, this role offers a strong number two position in a fast-paced environment, shaping and professionalising the finance function during the transition from start-up to scale-up.

The Role:

The Financial Controller will be responsible for reporting, controls, and accounting processes:

• Overseeing financial reporting, accounting policies, and controls, ensuring compliance with private equity standards.
• Managing an outsourced finance function, with plans to bring it in-house and build a top-tier finance team.
• Collaborating with senior leadership and key stakeholders to provide commercial insights.
• Leading system improvements and process automation to increase efficiency and scalability.

The Requirements:

• ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification.
• PE experience in a SaaS company.
• German language proficiency.
• Strong technical finance skills with a commercial mindset and stakeholder partnership ability.
• Experience with finance systems and automation is advantageous.
