Job summary

Vanguard is seeking a Corporate Shared Services Risk Specialist for Europe to provide risk oversight and challenge across Finance, HR and Operations, including Third Party Risk Management and Operational Resilience.

You will collaborate with the Head of Enterprise Risk Management, Europe, and engage with senior business partners to support risk assessment, challenge, and reporting within the ERMF framework. Hybrid role in Europe.

Qualifications

• Proven working experience in a risk / operations role in financial services with investment platform experience desired.
• Curiosity about how a business operates and how risk management supports strategy.
• Ability to operate in ambiguous environments and manage multiple projects.
• Strong understanding of the asset management industry and Vanguard Europe.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills to drive stakeholder buy-in.

Responsibilities

• Provide risk guidance, oversight, and assurance to the business and first line risk teams.
• Act as a strategic consultant to management on risk practices.
• Build relationships with internal stakeholders to understand evolving risk needs.
• Challenge and oversee short- and long-term risk strategies and change initiatives.
• Support annual risk appetite reviews and KRIs reviews.
• Assist ICARA process and stress tests.
• Collaborate with Internal Audit and Compliance for efficiency and consistency.
• Deliver risk-based training to promote a risk-aware culture.
