Qualifications

• Qualified actuary or equivalent actuarial experience.
• Experience in life insurance or reinsurance, ideally with exposure to the UK Protection market.
• Proven ability to investigate and explain financial movements.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience working with actuarial models.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver to tight deadlines.
• Strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the Protection AA&I team’s strategic priorities and strengthen understanding of Protection financial results.
• Analyse and explain quarterly financial results, including: attributing and explaining key result movements, using scenarios and sensitivities, and proposing management actions.
• Identify and assess value-add opportunities for the Europe Protection business, grounded in its economic performance.
• Support the scoping, delivery and implementation of process, system and methodology enhancements.
• Manage stakeholders effectively by building networks and communicating with clarity across Protection and DBS.
