Team/Role Overview

The Markets Europe Business Execution role is for a Vice President position and is responsible for supporting the overall European Markets Legal Entities and in-country governance and controls activities. These tasks include managing the relevant governance forums representing Citigroup Global Markets Europe (CGME) and Citibank Europe PLC (CEP) Markets business where required, managing internal audits, as well as first line of defense activities and addressing regulatory issues as required.

This role will include the oversight of the controls executed by the team members in the region and oversee the implementation and design of new controls. The role will also drive transformation initiatives in the risk & controls space, especially the automation of processes and controls leveraging AI. The overall objective of this role is to ensure the business functions in a seamless and effective manner.

You will report directly into the Markets Europe Legal Entity Governance & Controls Head.

What you'll do

• Manage a robust governance framework for the Europe Markets businesses
• Oversee the key activities for risk and controls monitoring for the Europe Markets businesses
• Sponsor and lead process / control automation

What we will need from you

• This is not an entry level role, so you will need to have extensive experience in a similar role and have an understanding of and interest in Financial Markets
• Experience in internal audit and/or operational risk is preferable
• Experience with automating controls/processes leveraging AI
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate globally across diverse groups, with excellent verbal and written communication as well as influencing skills
• Strong attention to detail and organization skills
• Ability to work independently in a cross-border environment
• Ability to raise issues on a timely basis and elevate appropriately
