Job summary

Cloud Imperium Games seeks a Localization Specialist I to lead the EU Spanish localization workflow, handling translation, proofreading, subtitling, and in-game testing. You will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to ensure dialogue, UI strings, and subtitles resonate with local audiences while preserving the game’s vision.

Qualifications

• Native European Spanish speaker with a translation degree.
• Excellent grammar, spelling, punctuation, and style in Spanish.
• Experience with localization, game translation or linguistic QA with emphasis on accuracy, consistency and quality.
• Experience using CAT tools (MemoQ) and CMS platforms.
• Good understanding of LQA tools, localization workflows and testing best practices.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with remote teams and external vendors.
• Ability to follow processes, guidelines and quality standards.
• Attention to detail and a quality-first mindset.

Responsibilities

• Translate and proofread game and marketing content for EU Spanish. Maintain translation memory and terminology databases.
• Collaborate with external & internal teams to deliver high-quality localized content on schedule.
• Support testing efforts to ensure localized content displays correctly and feels natural in context.
• Act as the primary contact for language-specific questions and contribute to glossaries and style guides.
• Share knowledge with teammates and vendors to support growth and consistency.
