Job summary

Legal & General (L&G) is seeking a Senior Finance Analyst to join our Asset Management Finance team in Cardiff. This role supports expense management, reporting and financial control across international operations with a European focus.

You'll contribute to month-end delivery, liaising with UK and European stakeholders, including Germany, the Netherlands and Ireland, and apply solid accounting foundations and strong Excel skills.

Qualifications

• AAT qualification or progression toward a recognised accounting qualification.
• Understanding of accounting processes and principles.
• Strong Excel skills with advanced functions.
• Experience contributing to month-end activity and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and post month-end journals, accruals, payroll entries and cost allocations.
• Produce reports and deliver clear financial information in stakeholder meetings.
• Manage intercompany invoices, fund recharges, journals and reconciliations.
• Prepare VAT packs and support finance and tax queries for European entities.
• Complete balance-sheet reconciliations and resolve aged/open items.
• Process client, employee and intercompany payments with audit trail.
• Maintain headcount and cost-centre data in finance systems.
• Improve processes, controls and ways of working across finance.
