Job summary

Klarna is looking for a Compliance Testing professional to join the second line of defense. You will independently verify controls and guide testing across EU directives like PSD2, GDPR and AML/CFT, using data and automation where possible.

You’ll own tests end-to-end, assess design and operating effectiveness, account for national implementations, and report findings to senior stakeholders while keeping multiple tests on schedule.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in compliance testing, monitoring, or audit in financial services, fintech, banking, or payments.
• Designed or ran testing scripts, audit programs, or structured review methodologies.
• Knowledge of PSD2, Consumer Credit Directive, AML/CFT, GDPR and related EU guidance.

Responsibilities

• Own tests from scoping to reporting and follow-up.
• Assess design and operating effectiveness against EU requirements and guidance.
• Account for national market implementations in controls.
• Deliver testing in line with annual plan.
• Use data analysis, automation, and AI-enabled tools to scope tests.
• Build and maintain repeatable automated tests.
• Write clear reports with findings and recommendations for senior management.
• Track observations from testing to corrective action and closure.
• Act as main contact for stakeholders during tests.
