Job summary

Emtec Utility Services in Uddingston is seeking an Estimator to support tender submissions from enquiry through delivery, producing detailed costings and competitive bids in collaboration with design, commercial and operational teams.

You will take-offs, bills of quantities, prepare quotations, review drawings for buildability, and help with early design and larger project planning, building supplier relationships for competitive pricing.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating for electrical utilities, infrastructure or similar environments.
• Good to have degree/HNC in a commercial or engineering discipline.
• Strong MS Office skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed take-offs and bills of quantities for tender opportunities.
• Produce accurate customer quotations and project costings.
• Complete quotation letters, PQQs and ITT submissions.
• Review specifications and drawings for accuracy and buildability.
• Support early design and development of contracts.
• Assist with planning and preparation of larger projects.
• Develop relationships with suppliers for competitive pricing.
• Collaborate with internal teams to produce high-quality tender submissions.
