Job summary

Commercial Property Maintenance Services is seeking an Estimator to support the Commercial Manager and Senior Quantity Surveyor in Elderslie. You will prepare high-quality tenders, estimates and quotations for framework contracts and competitive bids.

You will attend site visits for on-site measurement, prepare cost estimates, and monitor project finances while assisting with management reports and changes in design that affect budgets.

Qualifications

• HNC or equivalent in Quantity Surveying is required or demonstrated relevant experience.
• Excellent reading of architectural/engineering drawings and strong construction knowledge.
• Strong numerical and IT skills with experience in Excel and estimator software.
• Knowledge of standard contracts, health and safety, and commercial awareness.
• Methodical, logical problem solving and an innovative mindset.
• Full, clean UK driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tenders, estimates and quotations for framework contracts and bids.
• Attend site visits for on-site measurement and scoping to support cost estimates.
• Prepare quotations and estimates for management review and submission.
• Assist with management reports and financial monitoring of projects.
• Track design changes and adjust budgets accordingly and flag variances.
• Handle ad hoc duties as required by the Commercial Manager/Senior QS.
