Job summary

PPM Recruitment in East London is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the company’s East London office and report to the Commercial Director. You will prepare robust time and cost estimates for new work enquiries across a medium-sized main contractor, pricing a diverse range of opportunities from 100k to 5m.

The role covers schools, universities, healthcare, bespoke builds and warehouses, with responsibilities to develop competitive proposals, maintain records, manage tenders, and ensure

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating within construction, pricing long-term service contracts and frameworks.
• Strong customer service and stakeholder management skills.
• Excellent commercial awareness with focus on cost efficiency and risk.
• Proficient IT skills including MS Office suite.
• Knowledge of JCT and NEC contract submissions is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop competitive and commercially robust proposals with Operational and Commercial teams.
• Maintain accurate records of enquiry documentation, site assessments, specifications and terms.
• Manage multiple tenders and enquiries, meeting deadlines and accuracy requirements.
• Keep estimating, pipeline and reporting systems up to date.
• Analyse enquiries within estimating frameworks and identify risks with mitigations.
• Build relationships with existing clients and identify new business opportunities.
