Job summary

PPM Recruitment in Leeds is seeking an Estimator to prepare robust time and cost estimates for new work enquiries within an established medium-sized main contractor. The role involves pricing a diverse range of opportunities, including high-value contracts, frameworks and one-off projects from GBP100k to GBP5m.

You will support Operational and Commercial teams, manage multiple tenders, and maintain accurate records while analysing risks and opportunities across projects in schools, healthcare,

Qualifications

• Experience estimating long-term projects and frameworks.
• Strong numeric and analytical skills.
• Experience with JCT and NEC contracts.
• Excellent communication and client liaison.

Responsibilities

• Work closely with Operational and Commercial teams to develop competitive and commercially robust proposals.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of enquiry documentation, including site assessments, specifications and contract terms.
• Manage multiple tenders and enquiries simultaneously, ensuring all submissions are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
• Keep estimating, pipeline and reporting systems fully up to date.
• Analyse enquiries within established estimating and tendering frameworks, identifying commercial and delivery risks and developing appropriate mitigation strategies.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing clients while identifying opportunities to develop new business.
• Maintain a commercially focused and customer-led approach throughout the tender process.
