Job summary

Lemon Drizzle Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established Main Contractor to recruit an Estimator or Senior Estimator for their Teesside office. This role offers the chance to own tender enquiries up to £5 million, preparing accurate, competitive submissions and working closely with clients and subcontractors.

You'll review tender documentation, produce BOQs, obtain quotes, identify risks and value engineering opportunities, and help secure refurbishment and small works

Qualifications

• Previous estimating experience within a main contractor.
• Strong knowledge of subcontract packages and construction sequencing.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Good communication and relationship-building skills.
• Existing North East supply chain relationships would be beneficial but are not essential

Responsibilities

• Take ownership of tender enquiries from initial enquiry through to submission, up to £5 million.
• Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and cost estimates.
• Obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations; identify risks and value engineering opportunities.
• Build strong relationships with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders to support project delivery across refurbishment and small works.

Lemon Drizzle Recruitment is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established and growing Main Contractor to recruit an Estimator or Senior Estimator for their Teesside office.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative business with a strong pipeline of refurbishment and small works projects across the North East. You'll play a key role in securing future work by managing tenders from initial enquiry through to submission, working closely with clients, subcontractors and the wider pre-construction team.

The Role

You'll take ownership of tender enquiries ranging up to £5 million, preparing accurate and competitive submissions while identifying opportunities and mitigating commercial risk.

You will manage tender enquiries from initial enquiry through to submission, reviewing tender documentation, assessing project requirements and producing accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs). You'll obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, prepare detailed cost estimates, identify project risks and value engineering opportunities, and ensure competitive, commercially robust submissions are produced. Working closely with clients, suppliers and internal stakeholders, you'll build strong relationships while supporting the successful delivery of refurbishment and small works projects valued up to £5 million.

About You

We're keen to speak with Estimators from a main contracting background who have experience pricing refurbishment or commercial construction projects.
