Job description

Due to increasing workload within YTL Construction (Infrastructure), we have an exciting opportunity for an M&E Estimator to work as part of the Estimating team.

You will deliver M&E estimates for in-house teams and provide assurance and governance to schemes delivered with our external partners.

What you'll do

You will prepare mechanical and electrical estimates through the interpretation of BIM models, 2D drawings, and specifications, as well as review tender enquiry documents, drawings, and schedules. Information will also be gathered from site visits and meetings.

You will record, measure, and prepare take-off quantities from tender drawings and liaise with sales and contracting teams, as well as purchasing and lead negotiations with our supply chain.

You will work with our Commercial teams and be involved in negotiating variations, applications, and final accounts with our external construction partners. You will also create strong relationships with our Designers, Project Managers, client teams, and suppliers.

What you'll need

You will have significant mechanical and electrical engineering experience. You will be able to prepare M&E engineering estimates, analyze engineering drawings, and prepare sub-contractor and supplier enquiries and contract documents.

Water and Wastewater experience is highly desirable, but we would be interested to hear from candidates with experience in similar industries such as Food Manufacturing, Process, Oil, or Gas.

You must have excellent computer skills, with extensive knowledge of the Microsoft suite of programs, and hold a Full UK driving licence with access to a vehicle.
