Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Estimator to join our Strategic Projects Construction team. You will work on major projects across the country with a flexible location and occasional site travel.

You will estimate project costs, support profitable tenders, and collaborate with design, planning and commercial teams to maximise bid success. Experience in a main contractor and strong Excel skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with estimating and cost planning for construction projects.
• Proficient in Excel and estimating software.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
• Experience supporting or mentoring junior staff.

Responsibilities

• Support generation of tenders by estimating costs and resources for projects.
• Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to minimise costs and maximise profit.
• Contribute to tender preparation and submission with design, planning and commercial teams.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, consultants and suppliers throughout the tender process.
• Provide regular, accurate reports and forecasts to support decision-making.
