Job summary

Build Space is seeking an experienced Estimator for a top UK client, a respected Main Contractor, with a track record across Industrial & Logistics, Sports & Leisure, Commercial, Residential and Mixed-Use schemes. The role includes hybrid working and a focus on cost estimation and tender submissions for large I&L, commercial and mixed-use projects in the UK.

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in cost estimation, subcontract procurement, and value engineering, and can work

Qualifications

• Must have solid cost estimation capability and tender submission experience.
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement and value engineering.
• Able to work independently within an established pre-construction team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate cost estimates for large-scale projects.
• Prepare tender submissions and pricing from first principles.
• Manage subcontract procurement, package analysis and value engineering.
• Work within a pre-construction team to support project delivery.

As Estimator you will be working on:

• Large distribution centre and big box I&L projects
• Sports & Leisure schemes for Premier League football clubs
• Commercial, Residential & Mixed Use developmentsWhat we're looking for:

• An experienced Estimator with a strong Main Contractor background
• A solid grounding in I&L, Commercial, Residential or Sports & Leisure sectors
• Ability to prepare accurate cost estimates, tender submissions and pricing from first principles
• Strong knowledge of subcontract procurement, package analysis and value engineering
• Someone commercially astute who can work independently and as part of an established pre-construction teamThe detail:

• Freelance:£400–£450 per day
• Permanent:£65,000–£85,000 per annum
• Salary/rate dependent on experience
• Both freelance and permanent candidates will be considered
• Hybrid working available depending on project requirements
