Job summary

Andrews Recruitment are recruiting an Estimator to price and tender work from initial enquiry through to submission across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the North West. The role requires understanding of highways, surfacing, civils or infrastructure with strong commercial awareness and risk assessment.

You will produce accurate estimates, review drawings and tender information, obtain supplier quotations, and help build bids that meet customer requirements while supporting value-engineering

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating within highways, surfacing, civils or infrastructure.
• Ability to interpret drawings, specifications and tender information.
• Experience with NEC contracts or public-sector infrastructure work would be advantageous but is not essential.

Andrews Recruitment are one of the UK's leading Aggregate & Building Materials Recruitment partners andwe’re recruiting for an experienced Estimator to support a major highways and infrastructure contracting business across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and the wider North West.

This is not just a role for someone who can produce a price. The successful Estimator will understand the commercial, operational and technical detail behind a scheme, build competitive tenders and help present a solution that makes commercial sense to the customer.

The Role

As Estimator, you’ll take responsibility for pricing and tendering work from initial enquiry through to submission.

Typical responsibilities will include:

What We’re Looking For

We’re interested in people with genuine experience of estimating within highways, surfacing, civil engineering or infrastructure.

You should be able to demonstrate:

• Previous estimating or tendering experience
• Strong understanding of highways, surfacing, civils or infrastructure projects
• Commercial awareness and confidence assessing risk
• Ability to interpret technical and contractual information
• Confidence working with operational and commercial stakeholders
• Ability to work accurately to deadlines
• Experience with NEC contracts, highways frameworks or public-sector infrastructure work would be advantageous but is not essential.

The Team

You’ll join an established estimating and commercial function, working alongside senior Estimators, Contracts teams and operational colleagues.
