Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the pre-construction team in Central London on projects up to £60m. You will manage tenders from enquiry through submission and handover, reviewing documentation for risks and opportunities to ensure robust bids.

You will produce detailed take-offs, pricing and BOQs, obtain subcontractor quotations, and build a reliable supplier database while coordinating with commercial and delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenders from initial enquiry through to submission and handover.
• Review tender and contract documentation, identifying key requirements, risks and opportunities.
• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for cut & carve, refurbishment and new build projects.
• Produce detailed take-offs, pricing and bills of quantities.
• Obtain and assess quotations from subcontractors and suppliers.
• Build strong relationships with the supply chain and develop a reliable subcontractor database.
• Review drawings, specifications and scopes of work to ensure all elements are captured within the tender.
• Prepare tender analysis and ensure pricing is commercially robust.
• Work closely with the commercial, pre-construction and operational teams throughout the tender process.
• Attend site visits and tender meetings where required.
• Identify potential risks, exclusions and value engineering opportunities.
• Assist with developing tender programmes, preliminaries and methodology information.Ensure tenders are completed accurately and submitted within required deadlines.
• Assist with the handover of successful tenders to the commercial and delivery teams
