Job summary

Kingdom People is seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established construction and civil engineering contractor in the Wolverhampton area. You will prepare competitive tenders for major projects and work within a collaborative team aiming for clear progression to a Senior Estimator role.

The role requires proven estimating experience in building and civil engineering, strong pricing knowledge, and proficiency with estimating tools.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in estimating within Building & Civil engineering or groundworks sector
• Strong understanding of construction methods and pricing
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (not essential)
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• Proactive, driven and ambitious mindset

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for JCT & NEC civil engineering and groundworks packages on major projects
• Analyse tender documents, drawings and specifications to understand project scope
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and build cost databases
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to reflect practical delivery methods in estimates
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required
• Maintain and update estimating tools and systems

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Estimator to join a well-established construction and civil engineering contractor. The Role

You will work as part of a collaborative and experienced team, preparing competitive tenders for a wide range of major projects for. Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of JCT & NEC civil engineering and groundworks packages on major projects.

• Strong understanding of construction methods and pricing
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (not essential)
