Job summary

Kingdom People is seeking an experienced Estimator to join a well-established construction and civil engineering contractor. The role offers growth opportunities and a clear path toward senior estimating responsibilities.

You will work with an experienced team on major regional projects, developing competitive tenders and robust cost databases. Ideal candidates will have Civils/Groundworks estimating experience, strong numerical skills, and proficiency with estimating software and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in estimating for Civil/groundworks projects.
• Strong understanding of construction methods and pricing.
• Proficiency with estimating software and MS Office (not essential).

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for JCT/NEC civil packages on major projects.
• Analyse tender documents, drawings and specs to understand scope.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors for quotations and cost databases.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to reflect practical delivery methods in estimates.
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required.
• Maintain and update estimating tools and systems.

Overview

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Estimator to join a well-established construction and civil engineering contractor. The Role

You will work as part of a collaborative and experienced team, preparing competitive tenders for a wide range of major projects for. Due to exciting growth plans, the company are looking for an ambitious individual who's eager to develop their career, with clear opportunities to progress into a Senior Estimator role.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for a range of JCT & NEC civil engineering and groundworks packages on major projects.
• Analyse tender documents, drawings, and specifications to understand project scope.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and build cost databases.
• Collaborate with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates reflect practical delivery methods.
• Attend pre-tender and post-tender meetings as required.
• Maintain and update estimating tools and systems.

The Candidate

• Proven experience in estimating within the Building & Civil engineering or groundworks sector, preferably on Civils / Energy projects
• Strong understanding of construction methods and pricing
• Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite (not essential)
• Excellent numerical and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong communication and negotiation skills
• A proactive, driven, and ambitious mindset - keen to grow with the business
