We have an opportunity for a Building Estimator to join our team based out of Lympne, Kent.

The role:

• Analyze tender documentation and understand client requirements.
• Produce accurate BOQs for pricing, reflecting client needs, based on knowledge of CESSM 3, Highways Method of Measurement, or SMM7.
• Understand costing for traditional and design-build contracts.
• Prepare material and sub-contractor enquiry documents.
• Conduct site visits, gather information, and incorporate it into tender pricing.
• Evaluate individual rates and prices, creating new or using quotes from sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Prepare competitive and accurate commercial submissions for internal review and approval.
• Have working knowledge of NEC3 and JCT Conditions of Contract, current HSQE legislation, and construction techniques.
• Participate in pre and post tender meetings.
• Understand building material components and plant requirements.

You will have:

• Minimum 3 years' experience as an estimator.
• Experience in commercial/industrial projects.
• Strong negotiation, influencing, and communication skills; personable and able to work with diverse personalities.
• Analytical and reasoning skills.
• Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Numerical proficiency with accurate data manipulation.
• Confidence and resourcefulness.
• Self-motivated, able to work independently or as part of a team.
• Drive for collaboration to ensure the best submission.
