Job summary

Fisher Civils Ltd in Hampshire is seeking an experienced Civil Engineering Estimator to join our expanding team. You will prepare accurate cost estimates, tenders and cost plans for a range of civil engineering projects.

The role requires strong knowledge of groundworks, drawings, bills of quantities and supplier negotiations, with the ability to manage multiple tenders to tight deadlines.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as an Estimator in civil engineering.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering and Groundworks costs.
• Excellent interpretation of drawings, specifications and bills of quantities.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines.
• Excellent negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proficient in estimating and MS Office software.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and tenders.
• Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and contract documents.
• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and pricing.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, Groundworks and construction estimating, with the ability to accurately prepare competitive tenders, cost plans, and detailed estimates for a range of civil engineering projects.
