Job summary

Fisher Civils Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator to join our civil engineering team. You will prepare cost estimates and tenders for groundworks and a range of civil projects, review drawings and contract documents, and liaise with clients and suppliers to secure competitive quotes.

The role requires proven estimating experience, strong numerical and analytical skills, and a solid understanding of drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.

Qualifications

• Experience in civil engineering and groundworks estimating.
• Proven experience as an Estimator.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering & Groundworks costs.
• Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates and tenders.

• Obtain and assess supplier and subcontractor quotations.
• Carry out detailed quantity take-offs and pricing.

  The successful candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, Groundworks and construction estimating, with the ability to accurately prepare competitive tenders, cost plans, and detailed estimates for a range of civil engineering projects., Proven experience as an Estimator.
• Strong knowledge of civil engineering & Groundworks methods and costs.
• Excellent understanding of drawings, specifications, and bills of quantities.
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple tenders and deadlines effectively.
• Confident negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors.
• Proficient in relevant estimating and Microsoft Office software.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
