Job summary

Bennett and Game Recruitment Ltd in Bristol is seeking an estimator to develop a long-term career in building envelope estimating. You will prepare accurate estimates for roofing, cladding, and SFS packages, with mentoring from a senior team.

Qualifications

• Some relevant estimating experience within roofing, cladding or building envelope.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate and competitive estimates for roofing, cladding, SFS and wider building envelope packages.
• Carry out take-offs from drawings and specifications, calculating labour, material and preliminary costs.
• Manage tenders from initial enquiry through to submission within required deadlines.
• Populate and submit client pricing schedules and bills of quantities.
• Coordinate with premium system manufacturers to confirm technical specifications and pricing.
• Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings where required.
• Liaise with clients, main contractors, suppliers and subcontractors to clarify scope.
• Research current material, labour and plant costs to ensure pricing remains competitive.
• Maintain accurate records of tender submissions, queries and RFIs.
• Support handover of secured projects to the delivery team.
• Develop your knowledge and skill set with support from the senior commercial team.
