Job summary

Mitchell Maguire Limited is seeking an Estimator Building Services for our Banbury-based team. You will review tender enquiries, interpret drawings, and produce BOQs to enable timely quotations for commercial, residential and industrial projects.

The ideal candidate will have experience in M&E or HVAC estimating, strong numerical and commercial skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with customers, contractors and suppliers. Some site visits will be required.

Qualifications

• Must have experience as an Estimator working within the M&E or HVAC sectors
• Reliable and approachable to build positive working relationships
• Confident and professional communicator, with a proactive attitude and the ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a wider team
• Ability to interpret project requirements and translate them into accurate cost plans
• Strong numerical, analytical and commercial skills
• IT literate particularly excel

Responsibilities

• Take details from drawings to produce BOQs for quotations
• Review tender enquiries to determine scope of works and deadlines
• Produce cost plans for mechanical, electrical and air-conditioning systems
• Maintain tender documentation on internal database
• Contact customers and provide additional technical information
• Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers
• Manage projects up to a value of £150k+

The role of the Estimator Building Services will involve:

• Estimator position dealing with a range of mechanical, electrical and air-conditioning systems/services for commercial, residential and industrial sectors
• Review tender enquiries to determine scope of works and project deadlines
• Working on projects where each product/system is unique and therefore requires a bespoke approach
• Taking details from drawings to produce BOQs allowing for a timely return of quotations for customer deadlines
• Keep good documentation of tenders and quotations on internal database
• Contact customers dealing with queries and providing additional technical information
• Establish and maintain relationships with contractors and suppliers
• Managing projects up-to a value of £150k+
