Caddick Civil Engineering, part of the Caddick Construction Group, is seeking an Estimator to join our team in Wakefield. You willReview tender documentation, produce detailed cost estimates, and coordinate with subcontractors to secure quotations.

You will work with the project and commercial teams to align delivery strategies and ensure accurate tender submissions. Ideal candidates will have proven estimating experience in construction, strong cost planning knowledge, and proficiency with

Qualifications

• Proven experience estimating within the construction industry.
• Experience with cost planning and two-stage tenders.
• Strong understanding of construction processes and commercial principles.
• Proficiency in Excel and estimating software such as Conquest and Bluebeam/CostX.
• Knowledge of current contracts and procurement processes.

Responsabilités

• Review tender documentation, assess risks and opportunities, and contribute to bid strategies.
• Complete accurate take-offs and prepare detailed cost estimates and tender submissions.
• Liaise with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain quotations and conduct cost comparisons.
• Work closely with the construction and commercial teams to ensure alignment on project delivery and methodology.
• Produce tender handover packs for successful bids and support the project team through preconstruction.
• Use software such as Conquest, Bluebeam/CostX, and Excel to manage estimating tasks and reporting.

What You’ll Do

• Review tender documentation, assess risks and opportunities, and contribute to bid strategies.
