Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting an Estimator for their Warrington office. The role will involve pricing a mix of industrial construction and office fit-out projects, preparing tenders, and supporting the Pre-Construction team to secure new business.

Based in Warrington with occasional site visits across the North West, you will own tenders from enquiry to handover and manage tender programmes to meet deadlines. A strong background in construction estimation is essential.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as an Estimator within construction.
• Strong tendering, pricing and cost planning.
• Ability to read and interpret drawings and specifications.
• Experience completing quantity take-offs and preparing detailed estimates.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review drawings, specifications, tender documentation and identify scope gaps.
• Complete quantity take-offs and build project costs from first principles.
• Produce accurate and competitive estimates for projects valued between £300k and £2m.
• Manage tender programmes and ensure submission deadlines are achieved.
• Issue enquiries to subcontractors and suppliers.
• Chase, analyse and compare subcontractor and supplier quotations.
• Apply overheads and profit margins in line with company procedures.
• Identify project risks, exclusions, assumptions and opportunities for value engineering.
• Liaise closely with the Pre-Construction Director and wider estimating team.
• Deliver thorough and professional project handovers to Commercial and Delivery teams.
• Maintain ownership and accountability for the quality and accuracy of all tender submissions.

About the Company

Our client is an established design and build contractor delivering high-quality industrial and commercial fit-out projects across the North West. Working on projects ranging from £300k to £2m, they have built a strong reputation for delivering industrial facilities, office fit-outs and commercial construction schemes for a diverse client base.

Due to continued growth and a healthy pipeline of work, they are looking to appoint an Estimator to join their Warrington office.

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity for an Estimator looking to join a growing contractor where they can take ownership of projects from tender enquiry through to handover.

You’ll be responsible for pricing a mixture of industrial construction and office fit-out projects, preparing competitive tenders and supporting the Pre-Construction team in securing new business opportunities.

Although predominantly office-based in Warrington, occasional site visits across the North West may be required.

What We’re Looking For

Essential

• Previous experience working as an Estimator within construction.
• Strong understanding of tendering, pricing and cost planning.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications.
• Experience completing quantity take-offs and preparing detailed estimates.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.

Desirable

• Experience pricing industrial construction projects.
• Experience within office fit-out or commercial refurbishment sectors.
• Mixed construction background covering both build and interiors projects.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tenders simultaneously.
