Job summary

TM Green Group is seeking an Estimator to join their pre-construction team in Birmingham. You will prepare detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and groundworks, review drawings and tender docs, and produce take-offs and pricing schedules.

This role offers a challenging environment within a growing contractor. Applicants should have proven experience as an Estimator in civil engineering or groundworks, strong pricing, tendering, and pre-construction knowledge, and excellent communication

Responsibilities

• Preparing detailed cost estimates for civil engineering and groundworks projects.
• Reviewing drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
• Producing accurate take-offs and pricing schedules.
• Liaising with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive quotations.
• Identifying risks, opportunities, and value engineering options.
• Supporting bid submissions and pre-construction activities.
• Working closely with commercial and operational teams.

Location: Birmingham

Salary: £70,000 – £90,000 (dependent on experience) + package

We are working with a well-established, privately owned civil engineering contractor with a turnover exceeding £100m and a strong track record of sustained growth. The business has built a reputation as a market leader within residential infrastructure, delivering large-scale schemes for major UK housebuilders.
