Job summary

Central Employment is recruiting Estimators at all levels—from Trainee to Managing Estimator—for a North East main contractor with a strong project portfolio and clear career progression.

You will prepare tender submissions, study drawings and specifications, produce detailed take-offs and cost estimates, obtain supplier quotations, and support value engineering while working closely with commercial, design and operations teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in main contracting estimating.
• Understanding of construction methods, procurement and pricing.
• Strong measurement and cost planning skills.
• Excellent commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Proactive and collaborative approach to work.
• Experience using estimating software such as Causeway would be advantageous but is not essential.

Estimators (Trainee to Managing Estimator)

We're currently working with a well-established, privately-owned construction business with a long-standing reputation for delivering high-quality projects across a diverse range of sectors.

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured and negotiated work, our client is looking to strengthen their pre-construction team with the appointment of Estimators at all levels, from Trainee and Assistant Estimators through to Senior and Managing Estimators.

The Opportunity

Responsibilities will include:
