Solutions Driven is partnering with a growing business to recruit an experienced Estimator for a newly created role within its commercial team. The position offers hybrid working with preferences for near Hertfordshire, Nottingham or Stafford and a salary of £40,000–£45,000 plus bonus.

The Estimator will own the quotation process from enquiry to submission, collaborating with technical, operational and commercial teams to produce accurate, competitive proposals and support tender decisions.

Qualifications

• Experience in estimating, tendering, quotation preparation, bid pricing or commercial support.
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to produce persuasive commercial proposals.
• Good numerical and commercial awareness, including an understanding of costs and pricing.
• Excellent organisation and the ability to manage competing deadlines.
• Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills.

Responsabilités

• Reviewing enquiries to understand project scope, requirements and pricing.

Location: Flexible / Hybrid, with preference for candidates based near Hertfordshire, Nottingham or Stafford

Solutions Driven is partnering with a growing business to recruit an experienced Estimator for a newly created role within its commercial team.

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience in estimating, tendering, bid pricing or commercial quotations to take ownership of the quotation process, work collaboratively with internal stakeholders, and make a real impact on business performance.

THE ROLE

You'll manage quotations from initial enquiry through to submission, ensuring proposals are accurate, competitive and commercially sound.

Key responsibilities include:

• Reviewing enquiries to understand project scope, requirements and pricing.
• Preparing estimates, quotations and tender submissions.
• Coordinating with technical, operational and commercial teams to gather the information needed for proposals.
• Supporting tender qualification and go/no-go decisions.
• Improving quotation turnaround times, quality and conversion rates.
• Maintaining estimating information and identifying opportunities to improve processes.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We're keen to speak with candidates who have:

Experience in environmental consultancy is advantageous but not essential. Candidates from construction, engineering, infrastructure, utilities or other project-based professional services environments are encouraged to apply.
