Job summary

Time Recruitment Solutions Ltd is recruiting an Estimator for a standalone role in our client's growing SME practice. You will own enquiries from scope to contract award, pricing fit-out and refurbishment projects, with direct access to the Managing Director.

Projects typically range from £10k to £500k across commercial office and education settings. Office-based role with some flexibility to work from home, and a clear path to progression within a fast-growing contractor.

Qualifications

• Estimating experience within fit-out, refurbishment or furniture installation.
• Comfortable working independently and managing own workload.
• 2–3 years' experience at Estimator level or readiness to step up.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Thrives in a fast-paced SME environment.

Responsibilities

• Producing detailed cost estimates and competitive tender submissions.
• Managing a high volume of enquiries and quotations.
• Preparing quantity take-offs, cost plans and pricing schedules from drawings and specifications.
• Procuring and evaluating subcontractor packages.
• Identifying commercial risks, pricing assumptions and value engineering opportunities.
• Collaborating with Design, Sales and Project Management teams during pre-construction.
• Supporting project handovers and pricing additional scopes of work.

Up to £50,000 (inc. Car Allowance) Office-Based Commercial Fit Out

This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Estimator to step into a standalone role with real ownership and visibility. You'll be working directly with the Managing Director, pricing a constant flow of commercial fit-out and refurbishment projects while playing a key part in the company's continued growth. A well-established SME contractor is looking for an Estimator with a fit-out background, although furniture installation experience will also be considered. Projects typically range from £10k to £100k, with larger schemes reaching £500k, across commercial office and education environments.

The Role

As the company's lead Estimator, you'll take ownership of enquiries from initial scope through to contract award, working closely with the Design, Sales and Delivery teams to ensure projects are accurately priced and successfully handed over.

Key responsibilities include:

About You

• Estimating experience within fit-out, refurbishment or furniture installation.
• Comfortable working independently and managing your own workload.
• Ideally 2-3 years' experience at Estimator level or ready to step up into a more autonomous role.
• Strong commercial awareness and attention to detail.
• Able to thrive within a fast-paced SME environment.
