Job summary

The Label Centre LTD in the West Midlands is seeking a self-motivated Estimator to join our team. You will respond to pricing requests, determine production methods, and prepare professional quotations using Label Traxx.

You will qualify enquiries, understand client requirements, and maintain accurate pricing information while building lasting supplier and customer relationships. Ideal candidates will have hands-on experience in label packaging or print manufacturing, strong numeracy, and the

Qualifications

• Experience estimating in label/packaging or wider print manufacturing.
• Knowledge of label materials, adhesives, inks, varnishes, die cutting and finishing.
• Strong numeracy with cost models in estimating software.
• Able to read artwork and specifications and spot cost impacts.
• Clear written and spoken communication with customers and colleagues.
• Organised and calm when handling several quotes against tight deadlines.
• Office 365 – Outlook, Word, Excel.

Overview

We are looking to recruit a self-motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team in an estimator role. We are a label manufacturing company based in Netherton, West Midlands established in 1999 specialising in the production of flexo and digitally printed labels & tags for an array of sectors including warehouse and distribution, pharmaceutical, manufacturing and sales & service. We currently have 11 production staff, 1 store man and 9 office staff.

Job Description

• Responding to pricing enquiries accurately and timely
• Deciding on the best method for manufacture
• Producing quotations and presenting them in a professional manner using Label Traxx software
• Qualify all enquiries to ensure the information is accurate and up to date e.g. Order to Place or Tender
• Understand and identify customer requirements
• Update pricing information on requotes
• Follow up on quotations as and when required
• Build meaningful relationships with our customers to ensure the company are the 1st choice manufacturer for their requirements
• Offer customer service excellence when interacting and dealing with the customer
• Offer bespoke solutions to customers requiring niche products
• Meet with suppliers to discuss/negotiate material pricing and potential new projects

Skills Required

Essential

• Experience estimating in label, packaging or wider print manufacturing
• Sound grasp of label materials, adhesives, inks, varnishes, die cutting and finishing processes
• Strong numeracy and attention to detail, with confidence building cost models in estimating software
• Able to read artwork and specifications and spot anything that affects cost
• Clear written and spoken communication with customers, sales and production colleagues
• Organised and calm when handling several quotes against tight deadlines
• Office 365 – outlook, word, excel

Desirable

• Experience with Label Traxx software
• Knowledge of flexographic, digital and hot foil press capabilities
