Job summary

G3 Systems Ltd is seeking an experienced Estimator to join the Commercial team in the UK. You will develop competitive cost estimates for defence, government and commercial projects, liaise with engineering, procurement and project teams, and help prepare robust tender submissions.

The role requires strong Excel and cost modelling skills, experience with major estimating software, and the ability to manage multiple bids to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND or Degree in a relevant field
• Experience as Estimator in construction/engineering/infrastructure
• Excellent Excel skills and cost modelling ability
• Experience with estimating software (ConQuest, Causeway, Candy, CostX)

Responsibilities

• Review ITT/RFPs and customer documentation
• Analyse specifications, drawings and Bills of Quantities
• Produce detailed estimates for labour, materials, plant and subcontract services
• Develop comprehensive cost models and tender submissions
• Liaise with Engineering, Procurement, Project Management and Finance to validate assumptions
• Support bid reviews and maintain estimating databases

Role

As an Estimator, you will be responsible for preparing accurate, timely and commercially competitive cost estimates for a range of defence, government and commercial construction, engineering and infrastructure proje

cts.
Working closely with Business Development, Engineering, Procurement, Project Management and Finance, you will analyse tender requirements, develop detailed pricing models, obtain and evaluate supplier and subcontractor quotations, and identify commercial, technical and programme r

isks.
You will play an important role in helping G3 Systems secure profitable contracts, supporting opportunities across the UK and international ma

rkets.
