The Highfield Company is representing a premier steel fabrication business in Edinburgh seeking an Estimating Manager. You will lead the estimating division, implement robust processes, and own pricing for large-scale infrastructure and structural steel packages.

Reporting to senior leadership, you will work with Tier 1 contractors, drive tenders, and mentor junior estimators. The role offers on-site work with potential hybrid flexibility and long-term career progression.

Qualifications

• Experience leading estimating in the structural steel sector.
• Experience dealing with Tier 1 contractors.
• Strong take-off and tender submissions skills.
• Commercial awareness to protect margins.
• Ability to build a high-performing division.

Responsabilités

• Lead and develop the estimating division with robust processes and controls.
• Take full ownership of estimating activity across large-scale infrastructure and structural steel packages.
• Collaborate with Tier 1 main contractors on bids, tenders and negotiated projects.
• Oversee pricing strategy and value engineering.
• Mentor and support junior estimators.
• Partner with senior leadership on pipeline, forecasting and business strategy.
