Job summary

Albion Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Estimating Manager for Roofing & Cladding on the South Coast. The role leads pre-construction and bid work, overseeing tenders and cost plans within a growing specialist facade contractor.

You will collaborate with operations, design, and commercial teams, ensuring accurate cost-join at bid handover and ongoing bid strategy across major frameworks and HS2-related schemes.

Qualifications

• Strong background in roofing, cladding, or façade systems.
• Proven estimating and bid management experience in specialist subcontracting.
• Experience working with Tier 1 contractors (e.g., Laing O''Rourke, Skanska).
• Strong commercial awareness and leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the full estimating function within roofing and cladding / façade packages.
• Oversee tenders, bids, and commercial submissions from initial enquiry through to contract award.
• Manage sales support and bid strategy across key frameworks and live opportunities.
• Review drawings, specifications, and project information to develop accurate cost plans and tenders.
• Liaise closely with operations, design, and commercial teams to ensure seamless bid handover.
• Lead contract handovers to delivery teams following successful bids.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with main contractors and key clients.
• Support business growth through strategic input on pipeline and opportunity management.

Estimating Manager - Roofing & Cladding (Facades Specialist)

Location: South Coast (Hybrid Working Available) Salary: £75,000 - £85,000 + Package + Profit Share Bonus Company Turnover: £15m (Strong Growth Phase)

We are currently working with a leading and fast-growing specialist roofing and cladding contractor delivering high-quality façade packages across major UK infrastructure and commercial projects. Due to continued growth and a strong secured pipeline of work, including HS2-related schemes, they are now seeking an experienced Estimating Manager to lead and develop their pre-construction and bid function.

This is a key leadership role within the business, offering genuine long-term progression as the company continues to scale.

Key Project Experience Includes

• Data Centres
• HS2 Infrastructure Projects
• Aviation Projects
• Major works delivered for Tier 1 contractors including Laing O'Rourke and Skanska

Role Responsibilities
