Job summary

Acorn Education Trust is seeking a practical and reliable Estates Technician to support day‑to‑day maintenance, safety and operation of our school sites. The role will be based at Clarendon Academy in Trowbridge, Wiltshire, with flexibility to support other Trust schools when required.

Working with the Estates Manager, you will carry out minor repairs, site checks and report hazards promptly. You will help with room setups, opening/ securing the site as a key holder, and assist with deliveries,

Acorn Education Trust is seeking a practical and reliable Estates Technician to support the day‑to‑day maintenance, safety and operation of our school sites. The role will be predominantly be based at Clarendon Academy, one of our Wiltshire-based secondary schools in Trowbridge, with flexibility to support other Trust schools when required.Working Hours: Full-time (37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year). Required: ASAP. Other: Reporting to Clarendon Academy Estates ManagerAt Acorn, we pride ourselves on transforming education locally, with our two nurseries, seventeen primary and four secondary schools being at the heart of their local communities.

Working closely with the Estates Manager, you will play an active role in supporting with the upkeep of buildings, grounds and facilities to a high standard, carrying out minor repairs, site checks and reporting on issues or hazards promptly. You will also assist with room set ups, opening and securing the site (including key holder duties) as well as supporting with deliveries, contractors and general site logistics.This is an excellent opportunity for someone with good practical maintenance skills who enjoys hands‑on work and takes pride in maintaining safe, clean and well‑presented environments for students and staff.
